June 1 is the starting shot for salmon fishing in Orkla. It is still possible to order fishing for the season.

At Valdathølen, it is possible to make your fishing dream come true. Kanalhølen with its 1,000 m has 3 beautiful pools (Stasjonshølen, Kanalhølen and Skolehølen.) This is a very nice fishing village. The canal pond is excellent for groups of 6 to 10 people. Exclusive rental of valdet is offered from 3 to 6 days.

The fishery consists of a total of approx. 1800 meters river width, two-sided in the river. The river carries salmon over a distance of 88 km with an outlet in Orkanger. The largest registered salmon of all time is 25 kg. The biggest salmon are usually caught in the very first days of the season. Usually the intermediate salmon (3-7 kg) arrives from mid-June, while the small salmon arrive in early July. From this time there is usually a lot of salmon along the entire length of the river.

Kanalhølen is very well equipped for salmon fishing and is one of the top whales in Orkla. Three gapahuker are available by the river bank, and a new house has been built with spacious space for accommodation. Easy access where you can drive the car all the way forward. Valdet is suitable for your own personal fishing, visits by business partners and team building for companies. We have a boat in Kanalhølen and have fishing rights on both sides of the river.

Valdet is located by Svorkmo, which is 18 km, from the outlet in Trondheimsfjorden.
